Basic Bio
Chinwe Esimai is a multiple award-winning lawyer, trailblazing corporate executive, author, and speaker. She is a preeminent expert on risk management and financial crimes. She is a trusted advisor to companies, banks, and governments.
She is the President and CEO of Scepter3 Global Advisors, a strategic risk management advisory firm providing a suite of compliance and risk management services to high growth financial technology companies, banks, and governments. She was managing director and Chief Compliance Officer for Legacy Franchises at Citigroup, Inc. Prior to that, she was Chief Anti-Bribery & Corruption Officer at Citigroup. She’s the first person to hold these titles in the bank’s history.

Chinwe is the author of Brilliance Beyond Borders: Remarkable Women Leaders Share the Power of Immigrace (Harper Horizon) and host of the Brilliance Beyond Borders podcast.
She serves on the policy advisory council for Paradigm. She is an executive council member of the Ellevate Network, a member of the WIE Suite, and of Apollo Theater’s EmpowHer, a group of dynamic women supporting teens through a variety of initiatives. She also serves on the board of National Sawdust.
She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in political science, summa cum laude, from The City College of New York and a juris doctor from Harvard Law School. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and three children.

"Africa's Global Ambassadors" was delivered as part of "UIU Talk: A Conversation with Igbo Trailblazers" to a group of 1,000 professionals at the Umu Igbo Unite (UIU) 2018 convention. UIU is an organization that promotes cultural preservation and appreciation, professional development, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement among Igbos in the diaspora.
Chinwe’s acceptance remarks at the Face List Awards Gala, where she received the Corporate Leadership award.
