On this episode of the Brilliance Beyond Borders podcast, I spoke with the empowering Ekene Onu. Ekene Onu is an Executive Coach & Feminine leadership expert who helps high-performing women rise in their careers, increase revenue in their businesses, and build thought leadership platforms by reclaiming their womanhood and leading with their feminine energy.
Ekene discusses her journey from an uninspired pharmacist to living her true passion as a feminine leadership expert. She emphasizes the importance of activation energy in her career journey. Activation energy, as Ekene describes it, is the energy that allows you to implement your ideas and get things done. Quite often, when you have been silenced, squashed, or have been holding yourself back for so long, you need to build up your activation energy. Doing so will enable you to effectively accomplish your goals.
Four Feminine Leadership Success Strategies
Ekene uses these four tips to help clients create their dream lives:
1. Clarify your goals.
Clarity builds activation energy. Take the time to get clear on what you really want.
2. Determine that you’re going to be successful.
Develop a strong mindset that you can achieve your goals. Genuine belief within yourself is vital to the accomplishment of extraordinary feats.
3. Be intentional.
Be ruthless with your edit. Look at your life critically to determine what works and what doesn’t work for you. Ask yourself regularly, “how can I be my best self?”. Follow through on your answers. Have the courage to identify and advocate for what you need.
4. Integrate your energies.
While men and women possess both masculine and feminine energies, women tend to lead with feminine energy and men tend to lead with masculine. Because male-dominated workplaces often place a high value on masculine energy and attributes, some women struggle to fit in. If you're a woman who naturally desires, or is more suited to, leading with your feminine, you may feel drained or restricted. Understanding masculine and feminine energies will allow you to more effectively integrate them and harness the traits you need to succeed, without draining or restricting yourself.
