16 years ago, Luciane walked into a real estate office in Manhattan and convinced the manager to give a young woman from Brazil who spoke little English and knew little about New York City a chance. Since then, and for the past 16 years, she has managed the sales of thousands of transactions, multi-millions of dollars in high-end New York real estate, secured properties and investments for clients in nearly all regions of the world, coached hundreds of agents, built the most successful real estate offices in the nation, and appeared in many speaking and media engagements.
In addition to being a champion fitness model, Luciane authored the book Handle it: Get It Together and Finally Have It All. The book is an inspirational immigrant story with a view of how women can succeed at work and home while using obstacles as life lessons to achieve their dreams.

1. Ditch self-doubt
As women, we always want to be excellent. And we always think we're not good enough. Sometimes you have to go through the process of wanting to grow, even if you don't feel ready. Even when you find yourself in situations in which you think you don't have the skills, you’ll figure it out.
2. Act as if
Acting as if helps build that self-belief. You may be a senior manager, but want to be a managing director. Begin to think and add value at that next level.
3. Ask for it
It is ok to raise your hand and ask for what you want.
